Season 7 group stage comes to an end
Meet the best twelve teams from North America, Latin America and Europe!

After five weeks of fierce competition, the final group stage results are in. Only twelve teams from three regions made it to the play-offs. Now they are only one step away from advancing to the LAN finals that will take place in Atlantic City, New Jersey on May 19th & 20th.

North America:

The North American group stage ended with two incredibly close matches. SpaceStation Gaming once again faced Obey Alliance. The first time both teams met in the group stage, Obey Alliance (known as eRa Eternity back then) managed to win the first map, only to fall in the next two. The history repeated itself in the rematch. Once again SpaceStation Gaming won 2-1, claiming the second place in group A. The rivalry between two legendary organisations, SK Gaming and mousesports, was perhaps the main storyline of group B. Both times those teams faced each other, SK Gaming prevailed, however the deciding rematch turned out to be much closer than the previous one. This time mousesports put up a much better fight by convincingly winning one of the maps, however that was not enough to take revenge on SK.

Results:

  • SpaceStation Gaming 2-1 Obey Alliance
  • SK Gaming 2-1 mousesports

Latin America:

Victories by Team oNe eSports over BootKamp Gaming and FaZe Clan over BRK e-Sports marked an end of the LATAM group stage. Both matches had a similar result: even though the winners managed to take two maps, the second sets came down to the overtime. Team oNe eSports will face Team Liquid in the semifinals, while FaZe Clan will have to compete with Black Dragons in what might be the most anticipated match of the next week.

Results:

  • BootKamp Gaming 0-2 Team oNe eSports
  • FaZe Clan 2-0 BRK e-Sports

Europe:

The decider match of group A featuring two French teams, Millenium and Mockit Esports, was one of the highlights of the European group stage. The latter managed to win the first map after losing only two round, but the former brought it back to the third map. In the end Millenium turned out to be better prepared. However, the second match of the fifth play day was one sided. Team Vitality swiftlydispatched the Swedes representing Digital Chaos.

Results:

  • Millenium 2-1 Mockit Esports
  • Team Vitality 2-0 Digital Chaos
