Spring Season 2017

The spring season will run from January through to the end of May and feature Counter-Strike: Global OffensiveLeague of Legends and Hearthstone across seven week seasons for each title.

Spring Season Key Dates

  • Premiership Season (CS:GO Monday, LoL Wednesday) - January 16th - March 2nd
  • CS:GO and League of Legends finals - March 18th - 19th
  • Open Qualifiers for Hearthstone - February 27th - March 17th
  • Premiership Season - March 27th - May 10th
  • Hearthstone and Finals at MCM Comic Con in London - May 26th - 28th
  • League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

League Of Legends remains the most stable and powerful presence in UK Esports while Counter-Strike remains hugely popular within the UK and Ireland. With this in mind, our Spring Season for these games starts with an Open Qualifier on January 9th/10th for CS:GO and 11th/12th for League of Legends.

We'll then be launching into a seven week double round robin season with all teams playing each other as we look for the best two to join us at the ESL studios in Leicester to crown the Spring Season champions.

We've got something a little special in the works for League of Legends over the next few months that we hope to share with you very soon, so keep your eyes peeled during the season.

Hearthstone continues to go from strength to strength and it's very dedicated core fan base continues to impress. Qualifiers will take place towards the end of February and early March ready for the start of the Premiership season on March 27th.

We'll also be running a seven week season before heading off down to MCM Comic Con in London to take our place on the esports stage. We saw some huge crowds last time out and hope you can join us to support your favourite players.

We hope you're looking forward to this season as much as we are. We'd love to hear your comments and feedback so hit us up on twitter using #ESLPrem!
